UFC 269 RESULTS 

The final pay-per-view of the year is here as UFC 269 sees two title fights at the top of the bill while MMASucka provides UFC 269 results throughout the night. In the main event, Charles Oliveira will look to defend his lightweight title for the first time against Dustin Poirier. Prior to that bout, the women’s bantamweight title will be on the line in the co-main event as Amanda Nunes looks to defend that belt for the sixth time taking on Julianna Pena.

UFC 269 Results – Main Event

Winner of his last nine straight, UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira will attempt to defend his title for the first time as he faces Dustin Poirier. Prior to winning the title, Oliveira had put together an impressive eight fight win streak. The last three wins during that span started with a knockout win over Jared Gordon at UFC Fight Night 164. That win improved his win streak to six. His seventh straight win was another finish as he submitted Kevin Lee in their main event at UFC Fight Night 170. Earning him a shot at the vacant UFC lightweight title was a win over former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson. Oliveira put on a very impressive performance against Ferguson as he would defeat him by unanimous decision for his eighth straight win. Oliveira won the title in his most recent fight when he took on Michael Chandler for the vacant belt at UFC 262. In that fight, he finished Chandler in the second round by TKO after a close call in the first round that saw him get knocked down.


Coming into his second attempt at an undisputed UFC title, Dustin Poirier brings with him an 7-1 record in his last eight outings. After three straight finishes over Anthony Pettis, Justin Gaethje, and Eddie Alvarez, Poirier got a shot at the interim title. In that fight, he faced the UFC’s featherweight champion at the time, Max Holloway, and defeated him by unanimous decision for a shot at the undisputed title. At that time, Khabin Nurmagomedov held the undisputed title and he finished Poirier in their UFC 242 matchup by third round submission. Since then, he has won his last three straight starting with a unanimous decision win over Dan Hooker at UFC on ESPN 12. Following that win, Poirier has won back-to-back fights over former UFC featherweight and ligthweight champion Conor McGregor. In both of those fights, Poirier finished McGregor by TKO. Now, he looks to win his first undisputed title in his fight against Oliveira.

UFC 269 Results – Co-Main Event

Before the lightweight title is on the line, Amanda Nunes looks to defend one of two belts as she attempts to defend the women’s bantamweight title this time against Julianna Pena. Since winning the bantamweight title, Nunes would also go on to win the women’s featherweight title. She has since been able to successfully defend both with two successful defenses at 145 in her last two outings against Felicia Spencer and Megan Anderson. In her five title defenses at 135, Nunes finished three of her opponents over that time with TKO wins over Raquel Pennington and former champions Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. The other two wins included a split decision win over Valentina Shevchenko and a unanimous decision win over Germaine de Randamie.

Facing off against Nunes will be Julianna Pena who enters the fight with a 2-2 record in her last four fights. After a submission loss to Valentina Shevchenko in 2017 at UFC on Fox 23, Pena took a few years off to give birth to her first child in 2018. She made her return the following year as she faced Nicco Montano at UFC Fight Night 155. In that fight, she defeated the former and first UFC women’s flyweight champion by unanimous decision. Her next fight did not take place until more than a year after that win as Germaine de Randamie defeated her in her next outing by submission. In Pena’s most recent outing, she bounced back from that loss with a submission win over Sara McMann earlier this year at UFC 257. She looks to pull off the upset against Nunes in her first attempt at a UFC title.

UFC 269 – Main Card

Kicking off the main card will be a bantamweight fight between Raulian Paiva and Sean O’Malley. Paiva has won his last three straight entering UFC 269 while O’Malley brings in a two fight win streak. Of those three wins, two of them took place at flyweight while he just recently moved back to bantamweight in his most recent fight. Those two wins at flyweight included a knockout win over Mark de la Rosa and a unanimous decision win over Zhalgas Zhumagulov. In his return to bantamweight in his recent fight, Paiva defeated Kyler Phillips by majority decision. As for O’Malley, his last two wins include a knockout win over Thomas Almeida at UFC 260 and a TKO win over Kris Moutinho at UFC 264.


Following that fight will be a flyweight matchup as former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt makes his division debut against Kai Kara-France. Kara-France enters the fight with a 1-1 record in his last two outings. Following a submission loss to Brandon Royval at UFC 253, he bounced back with a win in his last fight. That win took place at UFC 259 as he defeated Rogerio Bontorin by first round knockout. Garbrandt enters the fight with a similar 1-1 record in his last two fights. Following a knockout win over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250, Garbrandt suffered a unanimous decision loss to Rob Font in their main event at UFC Vegas 27.

Finally, before UFC 269’s co-main event will be a welterweight matchup between Geoff Neal and Santiago Ponzinibbio. Neal enters the fight with back-to-back losses in his last two fights. The first of those losses was a unanimous decision loss to Stephen Thompson in their main event meeting at UFC Vegas 17. In his most recent fight, Neal lost his second straight after Neal Magny handed him another unanimous decision loss at UFC Vegas 26. Ponzinibbio will be entering the fight coming off a win in his most recent outing. In that fight, he defeated Miguel Baeza unanimous decision in their matchup at UFC Vegas 28.
